IIHF Ice Hockey men's World Championships 2015

Each national team must have a team composed of at least 17 players (15 skaters and two goalies) and a maximum of 25 players (22 skaters and 3 goalies). All participating teams of IIHF Ice Hockey men's World Championships 2015 must confirm by their respective national associations present confirmed Squad First IIHF directorate, which subsequently approved it. Sixteen participants of IIHF Ice Hockey men's World Championships 2015are divided into two groups of eight teams. Within the group will compete with each other. From each group will advance four teams with the highest number of points in the quarterfinal playoffs. For teams for fifth to eighth places in the group tournament ends. Quarterfinals will be played in cross-system (ie. The first team from Group A against the fourth team from Group B, the second team from group A against the third team from Group B, the first team from Group B against the fourth team from Group A second team from group B against the third team from Group A). Quarterfinal winners advance to the semifinals for the losers quaterfinalist tournament ends. In the semifinals, the pair will compete in the following formula: winner of the match between 1A - 4B vs. Winner 2B - 3A champion 1B - 4A vs. Winner 2A - 3B. Both semi-finals will be played in a larger O2 Arena. The victorious semi-finalists will advance to the finals, where they will decide on the holders of gold and silver medals, while the defeated semifinalists meet in the match for the bronze medal.
